  • What happens if I get a ticket or tolls?
    You are responsible for any ticket (parking or otherwise), penalties, towing charges, or impound costs that you incur during your rental period. Unless you purchase the “Unlimited Tolls” package, you will also be help responsible for all tow fees incurred.
  • Do you offer refunds?
    Unfortunately, we do not offer any refunds. For special circumstances, we may be willing to offer alternative options. Please email us directly to discuss at info@teslarented.com.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express credit cards.
  • How do I pick-up the vehicle?
    Typically, all pick-ups are remote and you can access the vehicle by following the text message you receive 2 hours before your rental begins. If you need assistance, please call or text us at: (818) 851-1651.
  • Can I have the Tesla delivered?
    We gladly deliver our Teslas within 50mi of our locations for a flat-rate fee. You may calculate your delivery costs by going through the reservations process online.
  • When can I return my rental?
    We accept returns seven days a week at our locations through remote drop-off.
  • Am I the only one who can drive the car?
    We can list up to two drivers on any rental agreement. Both drivers must have valid driver licenses and insurance coverage.
  • Do I get a discount when I rent for a week or a month?
    Yes! If you rent for a minimum of 7 days and up to 29 days, we will provide a 15% discount. For vehicles rented 30 days or more, you will get 30% discounted. These discounts do not apply to any additional charges.
  • How much do I get charged per extra mile?
    The charges for the extra miles placed on our vehicles will vary. They are based on the style and make of the vehicle. All extra mile charges are listed in your rental agreement during checkout.
  • Is there a limited number of miles I can drive?
    Each vehicle has an allotted number of miles that is included in the daily rental fee. The number will vary based on the vehicle and is listed on the rental agreement.
  • Do you take a security deposit?
    Yes, the deposit amount will depend on the vehicle that you have rented. A hold will be placed on your credit card during the rental period, the hold will be released when the vehicle is returned without incidents.
  • Can I rent if I am under 25 years of age?
    We do allow clients under the age of 25 to rent; however, there may be an underage fee assessed during the reservation checkout process.
  • I have an existing car insurance policy, do I need to purchase yours?
    If you are a U.S. citizen that has car insurance that covers you for driving different vehicles, you will likely not need additional coverage. We will call your insurance provider and ensure coverage. If you are an international client, we will help you obtain insurance coverage for the rental period.
  • Can I smoke in the cars?
    No smoking in the Teslas. If there is evidence/odor of smoking in the vehicle, you will be subject to a minimum $500 fine.
  • Do I need to return the vehicles washed?
    Please return the car as clean as you received it. We don’t expect the car to look like it was just detailed; however, if the Tesla is excessively dirty upon return, you may be subject to a cleaning fee of up to $250.
