Yes. Rideshare and delivery driving are permitted on every TeslaRented Rent-to-Own agreement. You add the car to your Uber and Lyft accounts with the registration and insurance documents we provide.

Rideshare rental programs typically run $300 to $500 a week, usually with insurance included, and you never own the car. TeslaRented Rent-to-Own starts at $790 every two weeks on a Model 3 (1,000 miles a month plan), you carry your own insurance, and after 48 months the title is yours. Week to week a rental can cost less; only Rent-to-Own ends with a car in your name.

Is there a mileage limit for rideshare drivers?

Rent-to-own pricing is set by mileage plan, from 1,000 to 6,000 miles a month, and overage is billed per mile at the rate in your agreement. Unlimited miles is also available, subject to vehicle, on Driver Plan terms at the 1,000-mile price plus $400 every two weeks.

What is the Driver Plan?

An option for high-mileage drivers. You cover tires, brakes and wheel alignment yourself at a licensed shop with Tesla-spec parts, and in return every 1,000 miles a month above the 1,000 plan costs $100 less every two weeks than the Standard plan. For example, a Model Y at 6,000 miles a month is $1,740 every two weeks on Standard and $1,240 on the Driver Plan. The 1,000-mile price and the first payment stay the same, and routine maintenance and repairs from normal wear are still covered.

Which Tesla is best for rideshare?

The Model 3 has the lowest payment and cost per mile for UberX and standard Lyft. The Model Y qualifies for Uber Comfort and Lyft XL in most markets, which pay more per trip. Model S and X qualify for premium tiers where offered. Uber and Lyft decide which vehicles they accept, so confirm a Cybertruck with them for your market first.

What insurance do I need for rideshare?

You need full coverage on the car with EK Rentals, Inc. listed as an interested party. Uber and Lyft carry commercial coverage while you are on a trip; ask your insurer about a rideshare endorsement for the gaps between trips.

Do you require a minimum rating or trip history?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no credit check, no income verification and no rideshare history requirement. Any licensed driver who can insure the car qualifies.
